[Vtigercrm-developers] Changing type of data

Hello,

I am trying to change the type of an existing text field to a Text Area
field. I have alredy tried changing the uitype in the database, changing
from varchar to text in the dedicated table in the db or changing the
number of characters for this field but still not working.
Any hint on how to do this, is there something i am missing?
