Joe,
We did cover porting extensions tips on:

Certainly, it would not cover all possible customization that might have
done on 5.4.0
If you need assistance with more internals on achieving a specific
customization, that was done in 5.4.0 (please share the details) - we will
review the getting this on 6.0.0 - in the meantime review enablements
required in framework.
