[Vtigercrm-developers] Error "You are denied to perform this operation" - Leads comments

Grep the codebase for OPERATION_DENIED and work your way backwards from
there.  My initial hunch is to look at the AJAX response (using FireBug or
similar) when you added the comment and ensure it returned :#:SUCCESS.
