What's the state of play with vtiger 5.4.0 and Mailchimp Integration?

It looks like Target's extension doesn't yet work with 5.4.0 and the one 
integrated in vtiger OD is not available for non OD users :-(

We have a customer who would like to use vtiger 5.4.0 and Mailchimp.

There is a module on the vtiger forge too: 
http://forge.vtiger.com/frs/?group_id=354 which looks like the one on 
the OD system - is it?
