It can be done, you just have to find all the places where it occurs 
(and there will be quite a lot!). I would suggest using the command line 
tool "grep".

Look at the recent changes in 5.4.0 when Accounts changed to 
Organisations and Potentials to Opportunities... As a language pack 
maintainer this was a significant amount of work.
