[Vtigercrm-developers] vtiger CRM 5.1.0: on PHP 5.3.0 - an experiment

Dear Team,

vtiger CRM 5.1.0 installation on PHP 5.3.0 was an experiment that was
carried out recently,
after noticing the crypt PHP API showing inconsistent behavior.

An attempt was made to build an experimental patch for 5.1.0 to work on PHP
5.3.0 which is attached in this mail.

Kindly read the documentation for more details and share your feedback.

NOTE: This patch is to targeted to gather feedback on issues and NOT TO BE
USED FOR PRODUCTION.

For Production, in case you have PHP 5.3.x or higher, we recommend you to
downgrade to PHP 5.2.x and continue with vtiger CRM 5.1.0

How to use the patch?

   - If you are using PHP 5.3.x, check your error_reporting configuration
   and configure to E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED
   - Before installing vtiger CRM 5.1.0, unzip the attached patch.
   - Continue with installation and test the features.
   - Report any issues you notice as comment to this mail thread or on
   http://trac.vtiger.com - specific your PHP version as well.
