I used that thread in order to get the web services working originally and that worked for me as well. The problem seems to be related to the latest svn version. Can you let me have the build number for the current wip demo. I am able to connect to that demo with no problems.
I appreciate that 5.1 is still being developed so will try and get back to the build I was using prior to the problem. I can carry on developing my application then. I hope to have it ready for when 5.1 is released.

More info on not being able to use the webservices with the latest svn version. It is the doQuery command that I am having problems with. I get an ACCESS_DENIED result.
I am able to get a module list by using the doListTypes command.

Thanks you for your reply.
I have updated my local version of vtiger 5.1.0 to the latest svn version and do not seem to be able to get the webservices to work. I have tried using the vtclient demo and can access the wip version on your server but not the latest svn version. Can you advise what the differences are please?
Many Thanks

Hi,
I am planning to create a link between another application and vtiger in order to allow people to view and add tickets in a similar way as the customer portal.
Because these users will not be actual vtiger users but will be in the contacts module is it advisable to use the webservices for this by creating a special user just to allow the application to connect to vtiger. I can control what the users can see by using the entitiy id to link them to their tickets.
I hope this makes sense.
