It would need to be adapted to the vTiger framework, and then we'd need event triggers added to the codebase to "flag" that the events were happening. The workflow engine can then Alert, Email, create data, etc as required. Agree on tasking and the alerting mod too. We use Activity Todos on the sales side, and Helpdesk Tickets on support side to track these types of tasks. We will ensure that the notification messages or fully informative. In vtigerCRM, automatic mails will be sent from Notification Scheduler and the trigger will be based on some important actions. You can view the all the pre configured automatic notifications and their triggers from Settings->Notification Schedulers Option to activate/inactivate these notifications is available in the Settings->Notification Schedulers. By default the status of all these notifications will be set as Active and hence you are receiving these emails. Just edit the Notification Scheduler and mark them as Inactive. However, I fixed the performance issue with a work around that doesn?t make much sense, but worked. I read this forum post a few days ago, but couldn?t see how commenting out debug print lines would speed things up. But, that did the trick. However, I did narrow it down to the exact variable causing the ruckus ($list_result) , so I only had to comment out 2 lines: In ListViewUtils.php: $log->debug("Entering getValue(".$field_result.",". $list_result.",".$fieldname.",".get_class($focus).",".$module.",".$entity_id .",".$list_result_count.",".$mode.",".$popuptype.",".$returnset.",".$viewid. ") method ..."); $log->debug("Entering getSearchListViewEntries(".get_class($focus).",". $module.",".$list_result.",".$navigation_array.") method ..."); There must be a bug in php or apache or mysql ( no idea) that returns the entire result set to $list_result when its evaluated for printing. My guess is that the libmysql.dll must have a default _tostring method in there in some versions. Anyway, Ill post this to the forum as well in that slow popup thread. After a ticket creation if you create other entities like leads, accounts, contacts, etc., then the crmid will keep increasing. Now if you create a ticket again then the sequencial crmid will be used as ticketid. 2. As of now you cannot add multiple accounts or contacts with a single ticket. The ticket may be related with a single contact or account. It will be good if you let us know the real time scenario for this work. So that we will take this up in our future release. Unfortunately, vtiger does not support true assets to customer relationships or asset based ticketing although several community members have asked about it for over 2 years (or maybe longer .. I don't know). This functionality is in the major commercial ticketing products out there as I have used many including remedy and Siebel which handle it nicely. The following steps are used to migrate from 5.0.3 to 5.0.4 latest svn source, where as default character set is latin1 for 5.0.3 database and now for the latest source we have to convert those data as utf8 compatible (because default character set for 5.0.4 database is UTF-8) So that after migration we should see the previously entered UTF-8 characters (ie., data available in 5.0.3) as it is in 5.0.4 1. Take the dump of 503 database Eg : mysqldump -u root --port=5030 -h minnie vt503 > vt503.sql 2. Edit the dump file, find and replace the string "latin1" with "utf8" in all places of the dump file. (Also added SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS=0; at the first line and added SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS=1; at the last line in the dump file) 3. For 504, create a database with default charset utf8. Eg : create database vt503 default character set utf8 default collate utf8_general_ci; 4. Apply the dump to this newly created database Eg : mysql -u root --port=5080 -h minnie vt503 < vt503.sql 5. Include the fix in include/database/PearDatabase.php file (Stored this attached zip file under document root ie., parellel to config.inc.php and unzipped). In SVN, refer the change set http://trac.vtiger.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/changeset/11854 6. Run the migration (from 5.0.3 to 5.0.4) Kindly test it and let us know the status of this fix. Also please ensure that you have utf8 characters in 5.0.3 and are display correctly in 5.0.3. So that after migration we have to check whether those characters are displaying correctly in 5.0.4 migrated. Issue : The characters which are stored in 503 db as html values(like هذا هو) will display as it is. Currently we are working on converting these html values to its original chars. If we get any solution let you know. We expect your suggestions/solutions to handle the convertion of latin1 database to utf8 to display the utf8 characters correctly after migration.
