Downloading such huge attachments (it is good to have huge attachments for making patch releases to customers) let the browser crash. This was because the file content gets stored into a session variable. I documented this issue and proposed code for a solution: http://vtiger.fosslabs.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/3646 please check this, sorry I forgot to post a diff, so just tell me if you like my idea and I will post a diff so you could commit. Yes, I would be interested in SVN access. I plan to commit you some other suggestions. I have personal interests in experiences on working on an open source project and the company I work for is using Vtiger and they allow me to commit the changes I do for them. (And they have nothing against it, if I do it in my freetime ;-) ) So, back to the task: To commit these changes I will need access to the "customer portal" module too. To make clear, I follow the usual process, I need a short feedback on the following answers. Thank you. 1) Is the code I commit somehow cross checked by anyone else? Before it gets into the main branch? I would appreciate this because there could be dependencies I am probably not aware of yet. 2) I am not clear about the branch: 5.0.3 or 5.0.3_DMS, or should I checkout a tag? (URL http://vtiger.fosslabs.com/svn/vtiger/vtigercrm/branches/5.0.3 ... ok?) 3) what is the url for the customer portal? 4) Could I leave some notes some where for a good use case to test my changes? 5) As I understand I can add a comment which contains "fixes #3646" (and a short description of course). ok? This Report gives me the CampaignID althoug it should show the campaignname if i understand the code below right: In the table vtiger_campaign i found the field "campaignname" which holds the name and field "campaignID" which holds the id. In include/Utils/CommonUtils.php around line 499 i found this code: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ /** * Function to get the Campaign Name when a campaign id is given * Takes the input as $campaign_id - campaign id * returns the Campaign Name in string format. */ function getCampaignName($campaign_id) { global $log; $log->debug("Entering getCampaignName(".$campaign_id.") method ..."); $log->info("in getCampaignName ".$campaign_id); global $adb; $sql = "select * from vtiger_campaign where campaignid=".$campaign_id; $result = $adb->query($sql); $campaign_name = $adb->query_result($result,0,"campaignname"); $log->debug("Exiting getCampaignName method ..."); return $campaign_name; } ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ So isn?t this code there returning the campaign_name ? I guess i have to change the query where the campaignid is returned to campaignname, that would do, but i can?t find the place WHERE to do this. Does anybody have a clue? I first downloaded vtiger a few days ago, for customer relationship management at my uncles little ceramic factory, and I was amazed, but after I showed it to him, well, it seems that it is too much for what my uncle wants. I love PHP, and I thought that I could minimize it to what at this moment I need, and in near future add more AJAX to it. I know that may differ a lot from what vtiger golas might be, therefore I want to start a new project at sourceforge.net based on vtigerCRM 5. I don't understand to much about Open Source Licencing restrictions and related stuff, so please excuse my ignorance. My question are: Can I start a new project at sourceforge based on vtiger? If so, Would I have to cover it under some other new license type? Do I need some permit from vtiger team to start such project? I know about removing logos because of trademarks, what else do I have to remove? Well that's it for now, I will continue on my "trying to understand vtiger's code" task, so I will probably have some questions related to developing in short. Thank you very much, Jorge -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... What i do: 1.Create a report in the settings choosing Potentials >>> Relative Module (i leave None here, if i could chosse campaigns here, everything would be great, as the campaignmodul lets me choose campaignname, but the campaign and the Potentials have no connection in the report creation process) >>>tableformat>>>Potential, Amount, Salesstage, Possibility and Campaign>>>6x sum >>>no filters, leave it as is>>> generate Report. 2. 5) As I understand I can add a comment which contains "fixes #3646" (and a short description of course). ok? What i do: 1.Create a report in the settings choosing Potentials >>> Relative Module (i leave None here, if i could chosse campaigns here, everything would be great, as the campaignmodul lets me choose campaignname, but the campaign and the Potentials have no connection in the report creation process) >>>tableformat>>>Potential, Amount, Salesstage, Possibility and Campaign>>>6x sum >>>no filters, leave it as is>>> generate Report. 2. 2. 5) As I understand I can add a comment which contains "fixes #3646" (and a short description of course). ok? What i do: 1.Create a report in the settings choosing Potentials >>> Relative Module (i leave None here, if i could chosse campaigns here, everything would be great, as the campaignmodul lets me choose campaignname, but the campaign and the Potentials have no connection in the report creation process) >>>tableformat>>>Potential, Amount, Salesstage, Possibility and Campaign>>>6x sum >>>no filters, leave it as is>>> generate Report. 2.
