Hello,

It might not be useful in your case, but we never know..
>From the command line on my windows system I had to execute " mysqld
--max_allowed_packet=32M " because I was getting some kind of memory size
errors when dumping my database.

Don't know the procedure to execute this command on a linux system, but have
a try and tell if it helped ;)
