 confirmed here.
 It is easier to see what is going on if you put in an exchange rate that
 isn't 1, when you create a product through quick create form it doesn't
 get the currency right, it isn't doing a currency conversion, it is
 entering the amount but storing it against the base currency. It works as
 I would expect when creating a product with the full form, but doesn't
 work right through quick create. The issue isn't products vs services, it
 is the quick create dialog.
