#8465: Security breach and outgoing SMTP server
-------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: | Owner: developer
  site.pour.tests | Status: new
     Type: defect | Milestone: Unassigned
 Priority: unassigned | Version: 6.2.0
Component: vtigercrm | Keywords: Security breach outgoing smtp
 Severity: Medium | server
-------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
When configuring the outgoing SMTP server using a gmail account, often it
works for some time, but after some connections with various devices on
the related email account, I receive an email from Google in my mailbox
for informing me that a connection has been blocked from a computer.
Systematically after this email, GMail prevents the CRM server to use the
SMTP server configured, as long as I do not change the settings of my
 email account.
I have to "enable access for the least secure applications" on purpose to
get a CRM able to send mails.
 From that, two questions ;
1 ) Why is VTiger considered by Google / Gmail as an application using a
method of insufficiently secure / non-modern connection ?

 2) Is it really safe that the password of the gmail account related to the
outgoing smtp server is clearly written in the database, without any sort
 encryption ?
