 Documents module seems to be simple without mass edit function and
 workflows as any other standard vtiger module. Workflows will be very
 useful to update different factors within documents like assigned user,
 picklists etc you know here is thousands possibilities.
 Users/admins need extended documents module functionality as without it
 those who managing large volume of documents/attachments  are forced to
 switch to the apps like alfresco etc. In our situation we are involved in
 media monitoring where we creating thousands documents monthly. Another
 department doing translations and there is also a lot of documents.
 Workflows and mass edit will make documents module on the same starting
 level as simple custom modules we can create in vtlib. It not much work to
 fix it (5.4 required few simply changes in code) but it will make overall
 vtiger engine more attractive and will give great tool for those who will
 manage extensions and services for end users.
