 I fully disagree, why do you expect that only admin user could select an
 Inventory Manager ?
 Users '''must''' be able to select Inventory Manager '''without''' the
 need of being admin.
 Obviously, I understand that the problem is the fact that other user can't
 directly reach user's database table, but there should be a way like you
 do for Assigned To field / UI type 53.
 Please, reopen the ticket.
