 Dear vtiger Team,

It is one of the most important missing feature of vtiger CRM since 5.x
 version.

The screen shoots were recorded in a fresh install of latest vtiger CRM
 6.1 beta SVN 14212.
 Link:
 index.php?module=Campaigns&relatedModule=Contacts&view=Detail&record=70&mode=showRelatedList&tab_label=Contacts

If you will really use a CRM, then you will collect enough data in Product
 and Services modules also.
You can store the basic data: Contact1 purchased the Product1 and signed
 for the Service1.
In the Contact related list you will see the fact, e.g that contact
related to the Product1. And other side in the Product1 related list you
 will see the Contact1.

But: if you want to do a campaign for the marketing segment "Buyers of
Product1" there is no possibility to create list of Contacts who purchased
Product1 (only manual clicking one by one).

This missing important feature can be workaround by creating a custom
field e.g. in Contacts module for every Products and Service and filtering
Contacts by this custom field data (it was used by several clients of
mine, who works with CRM on a daily basis), but I think it is unnecessary
and is not a nice approach.

The only missing feature is a possibility to generate a query using
related module data, e.g. Contacts -> Products or Contacts -> Service, or
 other such relation.
The query command in pseudo programming language will be: Please select
Contacts who are related to the Products1 or Select Organizations who are
related to the Opportunity4 or Select Contacts who are not related any of
 the Products etc.
The right place of this possibility/feature is the Creating new View of
the module. If the view is created using the related module data, then the
Campaign can it use by Select to Load List.

Please consider this missing very, very important feature and include it
to the vtiger 6.1 stable release.

If the vtiger user will able to create such type of lists described above,
then the real marketing segmentation can work and usability of a CRM
 increased to the highest level.

The issue is partly resolved in the new Workflow engine that can use the
related module data to create and do a Task.
But Workflow engine cannot create lists for example in the Campaign module
 to use different marketing purpose.

I know and used some time a SugarCRM 4.5 fork called MarketingEngineer (it
was developed by a Hungarian marketing man and a programmer in 2008 -
 2009).
This MarketingEngineer was very very good on list creation using related
module data and other custom parameters, using GUI similar to the todays
 vtiger 6.x Customview creation GUI.
And the List membership could be change by hand or by automated action
 using Workflow engine.
It means, for example, sales state or other field was changed and the
Contacts was removed from the List1 (= Campaign 1) and added to the List2
 (= Campaign 2) by workflow.
And this change also could trigger other workflows to run.
Or the Contact purchased the Service X and this Contact (after relating
Service X to the Contact) was automatically removed from Campaign to sale
Service X and was added to the Campaign to sale the next level of services
 by workflow.

vtiger now is not too far from this possibility.
