#7841: Reports Standard filter
------------------------+-----------------------------------------
 Reporter: jcrisp | Owner: developer
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: unassigned | Milestone: Unassigned
Component: vtigercrm | Version: 5.4.0
Severity: Medium | Keywords: report date standard filter
------------------------+-----------------------------------------
I notice that on upgrading to 5.4.x that the Standard filters have been
removed from the report results page and there is now a new 'Advanced
 Filter' section.

There is now no easy way to flip from Last Week, Last Month, Last Quarter,
Last 30/60/90 days etc which we mainly use.

The Standard Filter should be shown on the page WITH the Advanced Filter,
or an option to show it or not would be even better.

Also, unless you remember to go back and amend every report, the original
date that was set is still there leaving you to wonder why items are not
shown in the report. So if you say have previous full year selected, you
will never see anything from the Current FY how ever hard you search with
 your snazzy new Advanced Filter.

This is extremely confusing for users, and means a lot of work amending
 all your reports.

The only way round this is to Customize each and every report and set the
Standard filter to Custom with no dates set, and THEN use the Advanced
Report to work out which dates you require which is extremely long winded
and prone to error. I don't want to be sitting there working out Last
 30/60/90 days etc.

Note that this has also been reported in 5.3 :

This is a serious retrograde step and some form of patch would be well
received. Not that I expect that any time soon ! The above bug was
reported TWO years ago and has not even been acknowledged. Ridiculous. I
wonder how long this one will sit in the cupboard gathering dust for ?
