 It doesn't really make sense to do this in 5.3:

 if the date filter is disabled in 5.3, why bother to still enforece the
 date filter rules from the previous version (upgrade from the previous
 version), especially an user can't even change the date filter in 5.3?

 I am having the problem that when I run a report, nothing comes out,
 simple because in the previous version I have the date filter set to show
 the Purchase Order with a custom date field set to "current fiscal year".
 When I upgrade to 5.3, no where in the report customization part I can
 change this particular date filter. However, the date filter rule is still
 enforced, and I can't get it to work properly, unless I go into the
 database to change the setting in the database (change the "datefilter"
 field from "     thisfy" to "custom")

 That's really not making sense at all.

 By the way, when vTiger is going to release a bug fix version after 5.3?
