 To a text field in any module try to give comma for e.g add leads first
 name as '''pratim,123''' . Now create a mail merge document for this
 module and upload the document.

 Now do a mail merge and try to print values you can see comma will be
 ignored for this value an value will show as '''pratim 123'''.
