 I can't add anything to an invoice except by choosing ot forma product
 price book.

 I'm holing this is an error, because you have stated that you ar
 supporting service businesses.
 Even with product businesses, not everything can or even should be in a
 price book.
 This whole consept is a bit misinterpreted in my view and add ing a
 dimension that helps nobody while creating a real probem in complexity.

 It is absoultely essential that a user can add a product or service and
 send out an invoice for it wihout getting bogged down in price books.

 If this si a design flaw, please let me know so I can plan for getting rid
 of it.
