Comment:

 I am using the actual xampp 1.7.0 from http://apachefriends.org with
     * Apache HTTPD 2.2.11 + Openssl 0.9.8i
     * MySQL 5.1.30
     * PHP 5.2.8
 and Firefox 3.06 and IE6. There are no changes stored in the database
 after the first change. Changing data in vtiger elsewhere are all stored
 in the db without problem.

 I also can not provide anything with an space in those fields, like i
 said, no matter what i change , the changes are not stored in the db as i
 can see in phpmyadmin.
 Changing the Data manually in the db --> vtiger_inventorytaxinfo is
 displayed as i have changed it, so the storage-process of the data seems
 to be the problem as even emptying the cache etc. does not change
 anything.
