 Steps to reproduce

 step1 : Click on New CustomField. Create Custom Field div getting
 displayed.

 Step2 : Give the label name and invalid length like 1000.

 Step3 : click on save  button. it gives on alert saying "Field Type is not
 selected".

 Step4 : Now select the field type like Email/Date/TextArea. The Length
 field getting disabled.

 Step5 : Click on Save button. It is not getting saved. It gives an alert
 saying "Length should be less than or equal to 255"
