 All hard coded strings need to be removed so that languages other then
 english are fully supported.

 Is switching to getText feasible?  My understanding is that that's the way
 to go.  Does anyone have an idea of the hours required to implement
 getText completely vs. continuing on the path we're on?  How about the
 hours required to maintain/add a language after either method is
 implemented?  How much of the work overlaps?
